She’s working in an interesting niche as a Persian female pop artist who identifies as queer and is actively supportive of the LBGTQ community. I spoke at length with her and her manager Matthew Zeidman about the steps they are taking to maintain continuity with Gia’s community during a period when it is hard to build a following because all live performances are halted.
