Saving Live Entertainment together

The entire live entertainment industry is teetering. When will fans be allowed back into venues? When will fans be willing to come back? Who will still be in business by then?

Rescue Meet is bringing together top leaders from the worlds of Sports, Concerts, Theater and the leaders in supporting areas such as venues and tour logistics. It’s our future. We own it. We have to do the work now to assure a future.

While everyone else is looking at the calendar, I’m looking at my watch. The kickoff is at 9 am PST on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Go immediately to https://www.RescueMeet.com and sign up. We need you. We need each other. We need to get to work.

Help me if you can, I’m feeling down

And I do appreciate you being ‘round

Help me get my feet back on the ground

Won’t you please, please help me

One more thing: Rescue Meet is a labor of love. The conference is free. We’re helping the industry coalesce and build its own new protocols. Our goals are simple:

Goals of Rescue Meet:

1. Relaunch industry

2. Reengage with fans

3. Restore revenue

The journey back to 500 million fans in seats starts with selling the first ticket and seating the first fan. To do that we have to completely restart the interlocking gears of the live entertainment machine: logistics, venues, staffing, ticketing and everything related to the events themselves. During this down period, we have the opportunity to rethink how we used to do that, eliminate friction points and improve the fan experience.

This is not something to consider whether you need to join. The only question is “how can I help?”. You don’t want to be at the 2030 live entertainment professionals’ reunion and have no answer when asked what you did during the greatest live events crisis of the 21st century. You have the chance to answer “you should’a been there” with the greatest response of all: “I was!”

Let me know what you think.

I’m a consultant advising leading companies in the live event space. If you are an investor, artist, promoter, team, producer, venue operator, primary or secondary market of ticketed events or have comments on this article, please don’t hesitate to contact me:
